HISTORY

First of all, some preliminary things concerning the chakra.  The word, itself, comes from a Sanskrit word, Cha-kra, and that word means “turn” or “to turn.”  Now, as the science or the study of this system progressed – to various areas of the world, the word was altered (as are all words as they go through certain transitions) by the Hindu and became “chakra,” meaning “wheel.”  So it had altered its meaning somewhat, yet the idea is that it is a wheel – it does turn.

Now, this information (Twelve Charka System) was provided centuries ago.  Evidence of that may be found in the source known as the Dead Sea Scrolls; it may be found in the pictographs and pottery of the Indians of the Northwest in this country, as well as evidence in the writings and the pictographs of the people of the Republic of China.  There are some islands in the South Pacific where this is also found (that is, records of the Twelve Chakra System).

One of the reasons why humanity did not deal with all twelve chakras is that there was a lack of understanding as to how the five minor chakras worked.  Perhaps more important, is that it was not the time for these things to be activated.  So, humanity was given the knowledge, yet at the same time only seven of the twelve were actually used.

DESIGN, COLOR, VIBRATION

Originally, it was also thought of or portrayed as a circle of pulsating color or vibratory rate.  That is correct.  It was also seen as a flower, opening.  That is also correct.  However, it was not understood as to the actual design of the chakra itself.  The chakra is a circular, or cylinder shape made up of four parts: that is, the Yin/Yang, as you have seen portrayed in various designs, and also the nuclei of each of those parts, therefore - four parts.  One part is white with an opaque nucleus; the other is of a color with a nucleus.

Let us take the root chakra.  The Yin is red (or red-orange); the nucleus is opaque.  The balance of that (the balance of all colors, regardless) is white; the nucleus is also opaque.  The chakra turns in a clockwise manner and, if it is totally unblocked and clear, it will gain speed – or should be at a very high rate of speed – and it will begin to pulsate, or appear to pulsate.  Perhaps you have seen colors spinning on a wheel, and it appears there is a pulsation occurring.  It is the same here – something like a top, seeming to go in and out.

It is the vibratory rate of the color and the chakra itself.  The faster it spins (when it starts, very deep in its intensity), and the faster it is able to turn, the lighter the color.  The lighter the color, the more the individual is transforming that chakra from the physical level (or the physical/etheric level) to the spiritual level, because all of these colors of the chakras that we have given are on the physical auric level.  On the spiritual auric level the colors are the same, but of a pastel hue – same colors, but simply lighter versions, very light versions.  That’s why, for instance, it is very difficult to see one’s spiritual aura.  You can see their etheric; you can see their physical; you can see their mental/emotional, but it is very difficult to see the spiritual aura of another unless you are quite adept, because the colors are very pastel and they do not change.  They may get broader, but the colors basically stay the same.  In the etheric, or physical level and the emotional/mental level, the colors change quite a bit because it has to do with the mood.  It has to do with the temperament, and so forth.  It has to do with commitments.  But the spiritual aura changes very little, if at all, over the entire period in question – whether it is one lifetime or a thousand lifetimes.

On most charts, one sees the chakra located in various parts – or in various sections of the body – but always from a frontal view.  Therefore, the question is, “Are there corresponding spots on the back that pertain to each of the chakras?”  The answer is yes, in that – if one were to see the silhouette of the individual from the side – one would see that there is an angular direction of the cylinder shape through the center of the body. The root chakra – for instance – located in the area of the genitals, has a corresponding part in the back, the tip of the coccyx, which is at the center of the chakra.  So there is a matter of degree here, and all of the chakras are at an angle.  Therefore, the heart chakra – for instance – has a corresponding position just below the shoulder blades.  The solar plexus has a corresponding part in the lower part of the back, the intestinal chakra to the lumbar region of the back, and so forth.  So, there are corresponding sections.  This angle diminishes in its degree as one goes higher up the body toward the crown chakra. It is almost as if the cylinder is being collapsed as one goes along, so that it does entail all sections of the body.

Remember that everything must be in balance.  With the chakras – we said that the configuration is cylindrical and that it appears to be the design of the Yin/Yang within that cylinder form.  We also mentioned that the adepts within the study of the chakra system saw this as a pulsating color.  Well, what was happening was that the chakras were turning.  As they turn, the white and the color of the chakra begin to blend, creating what appears to be a movement outward and inward.  So it is a pulsation that takes place – the faster it turns, the greater the pulsation.  Thus, for some, it was seen as a flower – the thousand-petaleded lotus and so forth – and it’s budding, it’s flowering.

In actuality, when the chakra is working at the level that is most appropriate, it creates frequencies, or waves of energy which appear to be petals, so that it flows off and into the body itself, creating this in-out sense, as it is viewed.  So, both understandings were correct.  It is simply that they were not as detailed in their understanding as they could have been, but we will rectify that this evening.

It might be wise at this moment to speak of how the chakra is formed – that is, the properties of it and how it works.  There are four parts to each chakra – this being the Yin/Yang design: two parts – the Yin (or white section) with a nucleus, and the Yang (the colored portion) with a nucleus.

MAJOR AND MINOR CHAKRAS

When we speak of major and minor chakras, the seven major chakras are, in effect, seven life impulse centers.  The five minor chakras are five electrical impulse centers.  While humanity has used these – up to a point – all along, it was as if, for instance, humanity was a twelve-cylinder engine and only seven were working and five were not.  So, in essence, you haven’t been cooking on all cylinders.  Now you will, and you have to understand how they are inter-related and connected with one another.  Now those five minor chakras deal with electrical impulse.  They are directly connected with the electrical impulse that is a part of each planet in this solar system and especially will be activated, as never before, when the discovery of the planet Vulcan takes place.  Each planet emits an electrical impulse, or frequency.  That is how, for instance, the lives of humanity are influenced.  These chakras draw in, as well as emanate, that electrical impulse, even though it is at a very low frequency.  What these five chakras – minor chakras – do for the whole system is to create a power connection for the other seven, so that there is a very fluid situation in the body – there is a free flowing from one chakra to the other.

Now, remember, these are very low-frequency electrical impulses that have always been apparent in humanity – always been a part.  What occurred before is that these were so low, that very often they did not register on any type of machine.  That is changing.  Now they can be recorded through various mechanisms – Kirlain photography and so forth – as a source of energy. That is true, they are a source of electrical energy.  As each of the chakras are activated, these areas become greater in their effect upon the human body and maintaining an even flow of all of the chakras.  Now the intestinal chakra deals with the ankles of the body – the electrical impulse from those parts of the body, those joints, and also facilitates the elimination of negative energies from the body.

We should mention here – once again – that all of the chakras are interconnected, and you will see that if there is a difficulty within the body, more than one chakra is always affected.  Also, we would mention at this point, that we call the seven major chakras life impulse centers.  Now there is a very real reason why this is done.  For instance, if two of the chakras – that is, the major chakras – are shut down totally, then the possibility of death is very imminent.  If three or more are closed down and blocked, it is most probable that I will be meeting you on another realm.  They are extremely important in the body.  Many civilizations have realized this.  It is only the more modern civilizations that actually are primitive in their understanding.

KUNDALINI

You will see when we describe the kundalini and how it works, that one of the drawbacks to raising the kundalini was the lack of knowledge of the five minor chakras, thus creating a “jump” from one chakra to the other.  It was like taking two electrical conductors and creating an arc from one to the other, so that there was a sudden jolt to the system.

Now that resulted in some very serious situations for individuals who sought to raise the kundalini, it did cause difficulty.  That is now in the process of changing. Once again you are at the threshold of receiving the knowledge so that you can activate this for yourself – plus, this evening, we will give you the formula, as it were, of how this works and what you might do with it.

We mentioned that we would discuss the kundalini at some length.  As we said before, there is an interweaving of all of the chakras and all of the systems and so forth. Now let me show you a very interesting situation.  Understand the kundalini.  First of all, you realize that it began, or was activated (according to the old school, as it were) from the root chakra and moved up through the back.  One saw, for instance, the spine as the core and the energy of the kundalini moving as two serpents winding around that center column. You have that same design on some of your money, and it’s also the design or logo for physicians.  It was two energies – positive and negative – moving up through the body.

Now, the interesting point – first of all – is that if any of the other chakras in the system, other than the root chakra, were blocked in any way (remember the arcing of the electrical charge), the energy would hit a blocked chakra and literally paralyze the individual.  Now the time of paralysis would last anywhere from a few minutes to months, even years, which meant that the individual then had to retreat within themselves and try to understand what had caused the block – first of all; what it was and what had caused it and so forth.  Therefore, it was not something that was entered into lightly. Thus developed the tremendous secretive mystique concerning the kundalini, simply because it was such a powerful tool and could be very devastating to the physical body. There was a reluctance to share that information with everyone.  Secondly, the information was not shared with everyone because the person (in this case the teacher or guru) who was able to raise the kundalini was also in possession of a tremendous awareness and knowledge far above the majority of people.  Therefore, it gave that individual not only power over themselves but over others as well.

So, the kundalini rose from the root chakra, up the back – the intertwining of the serpents – and across the top (the crown) and down, forward, into the solar plexus.  In the process one had to be very adept at yoga, as it involved breathing from the solar plexus – not the mouth, not the nose, but from the solar plexus, and pulling the power of the kundalini back into that gateway of positive and negative external energy.

Now, if you were to view this from the side – that is, an individual who was undergoing the raising of the kundalini  – you would see, starting at the root chakra –it come up the spine, go over the top of the crown and down into the solar plexus, forming the numeral nine – completion. (Let us say that there were no blocks in the chakra system, and reaching the crown chakra was where one heard or read of the unfolding of the thousand-petaled lotus.  It was the total activation or awareness of the soul, of material life and so forth.)

Also, with this – as this is activated – one has mastery of one’s whole system.  However, using the older method of raising the kundalini, the awareness – on a universal level – was short-lived.  Therefore, one had to maintain a level of conscious awareness at all times and renew, constantly, the power of the kundalini.  Now there was nothing wrong with that because it made for a very spiritual, holy life for the guru, who could not be bothered with ordinary things of this world.  The guru spent most of his or her life meditating, being self-contained, totally isolated from human beings.  And you must understand, the reason for this was not so much that they could control people (those were some of the lesser ones). Rather, those who were truly sincere wished to maintain this type of control and power because during those moments when that power activated all of the chakras and they were all moving in unison, in harmony, in balance – the individual knew the Creative Source!  It was that memory regained.  Therefore, everything else in the world paled to that knowledge.  So, you have these mystics who spent thirty, forty years totally alone – going through this process constantly until it became second nature – the same as you would go to sleep or open your eyes or move your hand or your leg.

Now, as we said, it had to be redone in order to maintain.  As one is now able to activate the entire Twelve Chakra System, there is a new method for raising the kundalini (and that is something of a misnomer – to say “raise.”)  What occurs is that you take and channel the energy of the root chakra, bringing it up to the solar plexus, (and the color for this is red-orange, which we will discuss later as well) then – at the same time – focus upon the Creative Source, see that Light that is the Creative Source entering the body through the crown chakra, and as the two come together, they form a third color, or energy, there at the solar plexus.  Now, what has occurred?  First, the numeral has changed from Nine to One – the Beginning.  It is the fastening of the Creative Source – that connection, coming through humanity and anchoring itself in the world.  It is the manifestation of the Creative Source in this life expression, on this plane of existence.  It is utilizing the one numeral that is indivisible.  It is the beginning for humanity.  Thus, you see, the activation of all twelve chakras is the beginning of Total Awareness, Total Celebration – for all of humanity, all of creation.  It is being, literally, at One with the Creative Source.

ROOT CHAKRA

Let us begin with the root chakra.  The root chakra is centered in the place of the genitals of each human being.  It is the center of physical energy and the total expression of creativity.  Now, this particular center has been much maligned in modern times because one did not know how to utilize that energy.  We said it is the center of physical energy and the total expression of creativity.  Humanity has chosen to focus only on one aspect of that root chakra, which is physical – or sexual – in nature.  Well, that is a very small part – very necessary, yes – and it is not the only part.  It is the power of this center, which, incidentally, is also the seat of the kundalini.  Now keep that in mind.  It still remains the seat of the kundalini – whether using the old system of the seven major chakras, or whether using the new, complete, Twelve Chakra System.

Think of total creativity. By utilizing the power (which is immense) from this center, it can be converted into many varied expressions.  For instance, it is the power – source of power – of this center that creates the great works that are paintings, symphonies, and ballets.  This is where it begins.  This is the furnace of that creativity.  When fueled properly, then it may be raised to another level within the chakra system and given focus so that this becomes an outward manifestation of all of that power of creativity.  It was through this power that humanity was able to first, populate the earth, and also create an atmosphere where creativity in any form – whether positive or negative – could be made manifest.

So, by using that center – using that life impulse center – one can begin to harness one’s own creativity.  It is that furnace that is constantly burning – that is constantly consuming – utilizing and converting energy to creativity.  See it in its broadest sense – it takes in all of creativity.  And also, keep in mind that it is the seat of the kundalini (we will return to that.)

So, let’s begin first with the root chakra.  The number associated with that is one.  The quality of the chakra is “creativity”, the zodiacal sign – Scorpio, the planet favored by that chakra – Pluto.  The musical note is B below the staff, the color – red or red-orange, the gemstones involved (now this is interesting because several of the chakras have either one, two, or three gems that are associated with them): the garnet, the jasper and the bloodstone.  We will come back to speak of each of these later.

INTESTINAL CHAKRA

Next up from that is the first of the minor chakra system, which is the intestinal chakra – this being about center of the small intestine – that is, that grouping.  It’s sometimes called the “belly.”  Now, this center controls the electrical impulse that is emitted from the ankles.  (Later on we will speak of the various parts of the body and how they are related to “occurrences” within your life and possibilities concerning healing).  We would also say that the five minor chakras deal with joints of the body – a further connection, as it were, or an indication of connection between each of the chakras, and that is most important.

Next, the intestinal chakra: the number – two, the quality or function – “elimination”, the zodiacal sign – Sagittarius, the planet – Jupiter, the musical note – C (middle), the color – light orange.  Now, as far as the gemstone here, we say the tourmaline.  This may be one of the three colors of the tourmaline.  The stone is important here.  The color is dependent upon what is needed by the chakra (which we will explain, also later).  Tourmaline, however, which is the gemstone, may be blue, green, or watermelon (which is a combination of three colors: green, red and white.)

SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA

Now, going from the intestinal chakra to the solar plexus.  The chakra is located approximately two inches above the navel.  This chakra controls the stomach, through the stimulation and regulation of distributing gastric juices.  It also balances all of the emotions; that is important. Thirdly, it is a connection and gateway for all positive and negative external energies.

Now, think – when something exciting occurs, where do you feel it first?  The stomach!  If there is an accident and you have fear or panic, where do you feel it first?  The stomach, in that area.  It receives.  It is like an open door, and all positive and negative external energies enter into that chakra.  Therefore, it requires great protection, because it is usually wide open.  Individuals do not know how to control it, and there are various ailments that occur within the body as a result of not being able to control or protect that particular chakra.

The solar plexus is next.  The number is three.  The quality of this chakra, or function, is “balance.”  The zodiacal sign is Capricorn, the ruling planet – Saturn, the musical note – D, the color – green.  This chakra, also, is associated with three gemstones: the emerald, the diamond and turquoise.  (And again, we will have to explain why that is so.  There are reasons for all of these things.)

Next, you have the spleen chakra.  The number is four.  The zodiacal sign is Aquarius, ruling planet – Uranus, musical note – E, which is the first line of the staff.  The color is red-purple.  The gemstone is emerald.  The quality is “the seat of the soul.”

SPLEEN CHAKRA

Now, moving up, we have the spleen chakra.  This is part of the seven major, or life impulse, chakras.  It is located on the left side of the body - for all practical purposes – and it is the Seat of the Soul.  This chakra has charge, or domain, over the spiritual and physical realms as they pertain to the individual.  It does control the sciatic nerve as well as the procreative glands and organs, and this is where one also receives an understanding of the need to seek the Creative Source.  It is a very important part of the entire chakra system.

Once we were asked by someone, “What occurs when the spleen is removed – through the result of an accident and so forth?  Does that mean that the person is without a soul?”  Well, no.  What it means is that the soul must find a dwelling place elsewhere – which is the heart, and that’s a pretty sure bet because if the heart is removed then, of course, the soul will leave.  So, the Seat of the Soul is the spleen chakra.

Next, you have the spleen chakra.  The number is four.  The zodiacal sign is Aquarius, ruling planet – Uranus, musical note – E, which is the first line of the staff.  The color is red-purple.  The gemstone is emerald.  The quality is “the seat of the soul.”

LIVER CHAKRA

Next is the liver chakra.  This also is one of the minor chakras – which sounds rather odd since, without it, life is not possible in the body.  Nevertheless, it is still considered a minor chakra.  The liver chakra controls the hip or pelvic area of the body.  Therefore, you can see the interaction of the intestinal and root chakra with that of the liver.  It controls all liver functions and it also aids in the elimination of certain negative energies in the body.  It also helps to balance all of the systems in the body.

The liver chakra: the number is five.  Here the function (quality) is “harmony.”  The zodiacal sign is Libra.  And now an interesting fact: the ruling planet designated by most astrologers is Venus.  That is simply because they didn’t have enough planets in their understanding, so they had to use two planets twice – Venus and Mercury.  Now, that is what it says for tropical, or mundane astrology.  The true planet that is favored here is Vulcan.  The color is red-violet, and here one may use several gemstones again: light green jade, the ruby, the amethyst or diamond.  The musical note is F.

PANCREATIC CHAKRA

Next is the pancreatic chakra.  This is above the spleen chakra, in the vicinity of the sternum – the lower portion of the sternum.  This chakra is one of the minors and it controls the electric impulse that emanates from the knees.  It also aids the intestinal chakra and helps in the elimination or cleansing of the lymph and adrenal glands.  Now, this is very important: if you have a problem with your knees – swelling and so forth – you may wish to go to a physician and say, “I have a problem with my knee,” all well and good.  But also take a look at the toxin build-up – the toxicity of the lymph and the adrenal glands.  The swelling in the knee is simply the body alerting you to another condition that, if you allow it to persist, will develop into a more serious situation.

The pancreatic chakra: the number – six.  Here the function (quality) is “order;” the zodiacal sign – Virgo, planet attributed to that chakra is Mercury.  This is also incorrect.  The planet favored by this chakra and this zodiacal sign is Earth, the color – light green, and the musical note is G.  There is another stone involved with the liver chakra, which is the light jade.  Now, jade comes in many colors: the purples, the browns, the yellows, the reds and the greens.  It would be better to use the light green jade for this particular chakra.  You can use the ruby, the amethyst, the diamond, but the first stone should be the light green jade.  We will explain how these other three stones can be used in several places.  We have the musical note G, the color here is light green.  The gemstone is a mint-green peridot.

HEART CHAKRA

Next is the heart chakra.  This is extremely important.  This is one of the major chakras.  It not only controls the heart muscle itself, but also stimulates and balances creative thought and visualization.  With this, as one gains mastery of the chakra, one begins to utilize the power of extrasensory perception.

(Keep that in mind, the power.)  Also, through the balancing of this chakra, one creates a mastery of time and space.  (File that away, also!)  When we speak of altering dimensions of simultaneous time – of being one who possesses an understanding of that, of choosing linear or simultaneous time – this is where it is involved.  We have said – time and time again – listen to the Voice of the Creative Source within your own heart.  We have given you the key over and over.  So, if you wish to travel from one dimension to another – to alter Time, to alter Space – then begin to control and balance that chakra.

The heart charka: the number is seven.  The function (quality) is “love”.  The zodiacal sign is Leo.  The planet (or heavenly body) is the sun.  The musical note is A, and the color, either ruby or gold; you may use the gemstone diamond or violet amethyst.

THORACIC CHAKRA

Next you have the thoracic chakra, which is in the area of the bronchial itself, this leading to the lungs – the taking in of life itself, and creating clear passage.  Now this is one of the minor chakras.  This controls the joints of the elbows and wrists and the electrical impulse emitted from those two areas.  It is the power connection between the heart and the throat.  Keep that in mind – the power connection.  What does that indicate?  It indicates that it boosts everything.  It is like having an amplifier for those two chakras.

Next, is the thoracic chakra.  It would be the number eight and the zodiacal sign – Cancer, the ruling body – the moon, the musical note – B, the color – rose pink, the gemstones – garnet or moonstone.  The quality is “applied power”.

THROAT CHAKRA

Next is the throat chakra.  Now this is a wonderful chakra!  The throat chakra – when one is able to master that energy – will provide the individual with that almost hypnotic eloquence.  It is also where one receives spiritual and physical truths.  It is a very strong, powerful chakra that must be activated if one wishes to expand one’s awareness of the Creative Source.

The throat charka: nine, the zodiacal sign – Gemini, the quality here is “truth” or “the power of truth”.  (For the thoracic, this is Applied Power, for the spleen it’s the Seat of the Soul).  The ruling planet is Mercury.  The musical note is C and the color is blue.  The gemstone is a blue sapphire.

SINUS/MOUTH CHAKRA

Next is another minor chakra, which is the sinus/mouth chakra.  This is the center that controls the electrical impulse that emanates from the shoulders themselves.  If any of you have sinus problems, you notice that each time that you have a problem, you literally have a pain in the shoulders that extends down the back of the neck to the shoulders.  They are definitely connected.  The joints themselves are connected with this chakra.  This chakra, primarily, aids in allowing the verbalization of physical and spiritual truths.  You see, it is one thing to know those; it is another to speak them – clearly, distinctly, honestly, with frankness.  Many people know spiritual and physical truths, yet close down this chakra for various reasons.

For the sinus and mouth chakra, the number is ten.  The function or quality is the “power of speaking the truth”.  The zodiacal sign – Taurus, the planet – Venus, the musical note – B, the color – blue-green, the gemstone – aquamarine.

BROW CHAKRA

Next, the eleventh chakra, is the brow chakra.  Now – out of all of them – this, by far, may be considered the real workhorse of the whole system.  This particular chakra is also called – or has been termed – “the third eye.”  (We will explain why in a moment, and how that works.)  It is associated primarily with the pineal gland, and this chakra is one that – when balanced – activates the sensitivity to extrasensory perception.  It is one that activates also the intuition of true metaphysical understandings.  It is one where one can receive clairvoyance, clairaudience and healing ability.  It is a very powerful chakra.  It is one that receives perception first – that is, spiritual perception.  We mentioned the third eye.  What really occurs – that is the mechanics of it, the physiological situation – is that when one is in a meditative stance, one’s eyes will have a tendency to roll back.  When they roll back – when one has developed the ability to meditate without extraneous thought and noise and so forth – then the pineal gland creates, literally, a screen on the consciousness of the brain. As the eyes turn back – they view that screen.  On that screen is the record of the sensitivity to extrasensory conditions, so than it is a complete printing of all that has and is taking place as it pertains to options or variables within the life.  It is also the place where the intuitive sense, or the intuition, is recorded.  It is like watching a movie.  Now, as one develops this chakra, rather than needing to enter into a complete meditative state, one can enter into an alpha state and have total access to the information that is being processed by that particular chakra.  So, it is by developing, you see, that you can utilize this without incapacitating yourself, by sequestering yourself and so forth.  You can do this anywhere and any time.

The brow charka: number – eleven, the function (quality) – the “power of vision.”  The zodiacal sign is Aries, the planet – Mars, the musical note – E, the color – silver, the gemstone – this is usually the deep-purple amethyst.  (Now, you may use the diamond here as well, but – then again – the diamond can be used for almost any of the chakras.)

CROWN CHAKRA

The last of the twelve chakras is the crown chakra.  This is very important.  This chakra deals with the pineal and pituitary glands.  It should also be mentioned that the shape of the pineal gland is conical and it is also indicative of the auric energy of the body, which has a tendency – the spiritual aura – to be conical in shape.  It also is reminiscent of the apex of the pyramid and other shapes within Creation itself.  As we mentioned, the crown chakra is associated with the pineal and the pituitary glands.  An interesting aspect is that control over this chakra (which is one’s direct connection, when activated, to the Creative Source) creates the ability to suspend time.  The heart is the control of Time and Space and – when working in concert with the crown chakra – it suspends what you feel or know as time.  It can reverse the aging process or it can advance it.  This chakra also controls the astral body so that through this, one who wishes to understand and participate in things like astral travel, may do so.  Again, you see, it is the suspension or projection of time. One literally is able to take what you perceive as linear time and halt it, because, after all, you are not halting time, you are only halting your perception of time.  You’re putting it on the back burner and you’re moving into simultaneous time, so that – in the process – you may take this body, a vehicle, and preserve it or reverse the aging process.  Like wise, by the use of that, by creating a force within the body – using the crown chakra – one has the key to total transformation, or transcending, of the complete body from one reality to another.

We mentioned that one of the qualities of the crown chakra was this extraordinary vitality.  As one develops one’s understanding, spirituality, utilizing the energy of the twelfth chakra, one is able to balance all of the other eleven, and – as such – maintain the rejuvenation (or bring it about) and maintain this extraordinary vitality.  You can always tell when someone has control of the crown chakra, because their physical being defies their chronological age.  They will appear to be twenty, thirty, forty, fifty years younger than they actually are chronologically.  This is what is involved: they have learned – through the use of the crown chakra – how to balance all of the chakras, and by continuing to do that, they will learn to transcend this time and existence or life expression, to take what they possess – not only the soul, but the body as well – and translate it to another dimension – total ascension. It has been done!  You have records of that now which are correct – not only of the Young Rabbi and certain personages of the Old Testament, but also more modern times with Tibetan monks and the like, as well as some Buddhist priests in China and Japan.  So it can be done; there is no problem.  Also, here in your own Southwest, there are various shamans that have been able to do this, especially in the Navajo and Zuni tribes.  This is not farfetched; it is not out of reason in any way.

The crown charka: number twelve, the function or quality – the “beginning of Christ-Consciousness”, the zodiacal sign – Pisces, the planet – Neptune, the musical note – F, the color – violet, the gemstones rose-amethyst, violet-amethyst or diamond.

THE THIRTEENTH CHAKRA

The next is the thirteenth charka: the number - thirteen, function (quality) “total Christ-Consciousness”, zodiacal sign and planets – all, color – white, musical note – G (for God.  Well, we had to lighten it a little!) and the gemstone – diamond.

As one reaches Christ-Consciousness – then one activates the thirteenth chakra, or thirteenth level, which actually is about six to eight inches above the head, outside of the body proper yet within the auric field of the body.  It is primarily the chakra of the spiritual level of the aura.  So we first activate all twelve, which results in the Three, and then – once that is activated – activate the thirteenth, or the spiritual chakra, which is Three and One – or Four.  So they are all connected, dear friends.

CORRELATIONS (NUMBERS, ASTROLOGY, COLORS)

You will notice in all of this – now that we have the preliminary out of the way – some interesting things.   We will try to correlate certain numbers, certain aspects as far as astrology is concerned, colors, and so forth.  Let us take, for instance, the first chakra – the root chakra:  zodiacal sign – Scorpio, ruling planet – Pluto.  So, here we have, in essence, the beginning and the end.  The three symbols associated with this zodiacal sign are: the scorpion, the eagle, and the dove.

Now, we have said the number here is one.  You will recall in our definition of numerology – and, in particular, the number one – that it is an indivisible number.  It is the anchor between the earth and the Creative Source.  It is a number of transformation, and it is creativity.  What occurs is that –in humanity’s development – it is on the first level, or creativity – the root chakra.  As it transforms – as a human being transforms oneself – it develops into the symbol, or progresses toward the symbol which is the eagle, which is indicative of the seventh chakra, love, and the gateway to the altering of space and time; thus, the ability to fly, to move within certain dimensions.  By transforming that again – because through the heart one delves to understand even greater mysteries, if you will – one is able to transform oneself, utilizing the symbols again, into that of the dove, which is the symbol for the thirteenth chakra – Total Christ-Consciousness, the beginning of Divinity.  You see, there has been a reason the dove has been portrayed throughout history in all religious works as the Voice of God, called the “Holy Spirit”, the Holy Ghost” (which sounds rather strange when one thinks of it – the Holy Ghost!).  In any event, there is the transformation that is possible, using the vibratory rate of the number, one.  By constantly striving with that one – constantly creating, opening up, one transforms oneself from the earth to the Creative Source.

You may wonder about the number three – balance.  Here you are dealing with the responsibility of taking on external energies – either positive or negative; thus the ruler-ship or the favorite of the planet Saturn.  This is something of a judge – balancing things, balancing the scales, making sure there is equality.  Thus, this is the one chakra that most individuals have the greatest difficulty with because they do not discriminate.  They are not discerning concerning the energy they allow to enter their bodies.

Next of interest is the heart chakra.  We mentioned that this is not only the gateway to understanding time and space, but also the beginning in understanding Love, which allows one to transform life and knowledge into this greater awareness – which is Christ-Consciousness and the beginning of Divine-Consciousness.

It is also quite interesting with the crown chakra – which is Pisces – color, purple, and so forth.  The Aquarian Age will utilize four colors.  In the past – two thousand years ago – three colors were utilized and were indicative of the Age, as well as three chakras.  They were the root chakra – the color, red or red-orange (think of the stone-bloodstone); the second was the heart chakra – the color, gold – the zodiacal sign – Leo; the third was the crown chakra – violet – the zodiacal sign Pisces.

Now, why the difference in the planets?  For instance, the liver chakra – why that particular number, five?  As you know, three, in the solar plexus, is a reflection within the body of the Creative Source, the balance – all three sides equal.  So it is a reflection, within the body, of the Creative Source.  Four – the spleen chakra, Seat of the Soul – is the four corners of the world (symbolic of the four corners of the world, the four corners of Creation, the four universes and so forth).  Five, of course, is the indication of the three folding in upon itself – creating a pyramidal shape – the four corners of the earth again, with the apex directed toward God.  Five also is a balance: two and two, balanced by one.  So you have the two parts - Father/Mother – balanced by Love.  In regards to the change in the particular planet – those of you who are Libra realize that the influence of the planet Venus and things attributed to that planet do not always fit.  That is because it is not correct.  What is true is that the planet yet to be discovered (before the end of this decade – which should be named Vulcan) is a higher vibration of the combination of the planets Venus and Mars.  So, this is a blending of these two energies.  It is the two parts of the number five, with Love as the fulcrum.

Now Virgo and the pancreatic chakra (number six) is in equal parts, whether it is two threes or three twos.  The earth must be considered as the planet of favor here, rather than Mercury, because Mercury does not fit when one understands the properties of the influence of that planet.  The earth is much more accurate than any other planet.  (And doesn’t that seem queer that one would use two planets twice?  It should not be so.)  So the earth is, literally, a place where one learns order – one understands.  Again, it has to do with the power within that chakra – either the Power of Order (which becomes dictatorial) or the Ordering of Power, placing it in its proper perspective.  So, the earth is the ideal place for this, in its ability to utilize the energies of the earth and to place the correct priorities in all of this.  (Along with this, of course, are the balancing colors, which we’ll speak of in a moment).

COLOR AND VIBRATION

It might be wise at this moment to speak of how the chakra is formed – that is, the properties of it and how it works.  There are four parts to each chakra – this being the Yin/Yang design: two parts – the Yin (or white section) with a nucleus, and the Yang (the colored portion) with a nucleus.

CLEANSING AND HEALING

Let us say the chakra is blocked or sluggish and one wishes to bring about a clearing of the chakra, an unblocking of this clockwise turning.  There are various ways this can be done.  One, it can be done by an aura balancer; two, it can be done by utilizing the stones that we have given in the place of the chakra – either by wearing or utilizing them in a healing situation.

When one is being healed, either by self or by another (you can do this healing yourself through meditation by visualizing the chakra turning, and speeding up the turning), when a healing process is forthcoming, usually both parts of the chakra are either deep gray, gray-brown or blue.  (If it is black, then probably the chakra is practically non-existent; it has been totally shut down).  But let us say that it is a deep gray – both sides – so that if it is the root chakra, one side will be deep gray, the other side will be sort of a reddish, dirty gray, and it will be barely turning.

Through either the healer – the health giver – or yourself, with the utilization of the stones and meditation, the wish is there to cleanse the chakra.  As you see it turn, first in the Yin – through the nucleus – pure white will begin to seep, moving the gray to the edge.  In the Yang, again, the pure color will seep through the nucleus, will be secreted, and it will begin to move the dirty red-gray to the edge.  As it does, the velocity of the chakra increases.  It literally spins off the dark residue (it is a situation where the fresh color is washing the grayness away), and the chakra begins to function at its appointed rate of speed.

As one begins to unblock all of these chakras, the bodily functions increase.  The vitality increases.  The organs associated with the chakras are revitalized and rejuvenated.  The faster one is able to turn these chakras (which is part of the transformation that takes place), the greater one’s awareness on the spiritual level.  This is also part of the key as to how to make a physical transition, or transcending – ascension, if you will – taking the body with you.

SOUND

Now there should be some understanding concerning the musical notes that are given.  The note is very important; it is a sound associated with that chakra.  It can also help to clear that chakra.  However, if the chakra is blocked, do not allow that note to be sounded in an intense manner (the same way you do not deal with certain stones in an intense way) because that can result in some difficulty (if one mixes sounds for the chakras and stones) and could damage the chakra beyond repair.  That is why, for instance, we do not recommend certain experimentation with sound.

Once, quite a few years ago, two incidents occurred.  One, that a well-meaning couple (and of course, everyone is well-meaning), without the knowledge of what sound could do, brought back – after their travels in Asia – some flutes and bells from Tibet.  All they knew was that these flutes had beautiful tones and had been used by Tibetan priests, but they did not understand why.  They felt they must be something that was used in various rituals.  Yes, that was true of the flutes and also the bells.  Now the bells, Tibetan bells, are quite different than you might think.  They are not cylinders with clappers, but simply like cymbals that are tapped on the side.

Now they didn’t realize the importance of these things.  They felt these were just some things that were very beautiful, used in ritual and so forth.  What they did was invite many of their friends over to hear these flutes and bells.  Well, what resulted was a roomful of very ill people who had what they thought were very strange conditions arising: diarrhea, vomiting, certain queasiness in the stomach, and nervousness.  No one seemed to understand.  No one (because this occurred after the performance) associated it – believe it or not – with the bells, the instruments.  Luckily for everyone there, this did not continue.  Had it – it would have caused great damage.  They did not realize that sound can shatter walls.  It can shatter anything, depending upon the frequency, either high or low.  It is also true with the chakras.  It can be a healing technique or it can be one that does great damage to the chakras.  Again, once the chakras are balanced and working in concert with one another, what occurs is a total rejuvenation of the body, a new vitality.
